QuiX Quantum Selected for Prestigious EIC Accelerator Funding

QuiX Quantum, a European leader in photonic quantum computing hardware, proudly announces its selection by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator program, a key initiative of the European Commission. Being granted the EIC Accelerator highlights QuiX Quantum's innovative contributions and secures financial support for their cutting-edge projects.

The EIC Accelerator program is renowned for identifying and supporting breakthrough technologies with high growth potential. QuiX Quantum's selection proves its commitment to advancing quantum computing solutions that promise to revolutionize industries globally.

"We are honored to be chosen for the blended financing of the EIC Accelerator program which can be up to €17.5 million in combined grant and equity," said Kathy Willing, CFO of QuiX Quantum. "This funding will accelerate our research and development, bringing us closer to realizing the full potential of photonic quantum computing."

“I personally consider the EIC Accelerator to be an essential instrument for financing deep tech, high-risk start-ups that are strategically relevant in the EU. The Accelerator will allow us to push our objectives and vision of building Europe's leading quantum photonic products,” said Dr.-Ing. Stefan Hengesbach, CEO of QuiX Quantum.

QuiX Quantum will receive a blend of grants and equity investments, part of the €411 million allocated to 68 innovative companies across Europe. This funding will enhance the company's ability to scale its operations, develop new technologies, and attract further investments.

About the EIC Accelerator:
The EIC Accelerator offers start-ups and SMEs grants of up to €2.5 million combined with equity investments through the EIC Fund ranging from €0.5 to €15 million or more. In addition to financial support, all projects benefit from a wide range of Business Acceleration Services that provide access to leading expertise, corporates, investors and ecosystem actors.

QuiX Quantum becomes a member of the ARENA2036 research campus
ARENA2036 welcomes the QuiX Quantum team to the ecosystem! The Dutch-German company takes Europe's leading position in the field of photonic quantum computing and enriches the research campus with another key technology. The special thing about the QuiX Quantum technology is that when using photonic quantum computing, only the competitors have to dress warmly. The photonic processors can be operated almost entirely at room temperature, unlike the familiar method with superconducting qubits, and do not require costly and energy-intensive cooling. This technology offers potential for new applications and scaling possibilities from which many of ARENA2036 members will benefit.
