QuiX Quantum appoints new 
Chairman of the Supervisory Board

QuiX Quantum introduces Andrew Wallace as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The market leader for quantum computing with light fills a vital role as they continue to develop from their foundation in 2019.

Andrew Wallace’s 35-year career has covered the fields which QuiX Quantum interacts with: Enterprise IT, telecoms, electronics, and photonics, with a career focus on addressing emerging markets. He has held global commercial and marketing roles in electronics and telecoms at the €500 M and €1.25 B levels. These include Eutelsat Communications SA and Pace plc (now Arris). Working extensively across Europe, he has held P&L responsibilities ranging from startups to €100 M and has delivered multiple growth at several businesses, partly through extensive partnerships.

 

Wallace has more recently focused on deep-tech startups and spinouts. Until 2022 he was CEO of Pyreos, a thin film photonics business, sold to Broadcom. He has also advised numerous multinationals and technology startups on strategy, business development, and creating disruptive new markets.

 

Non-executive roles have included as co-founder and chairman of a satellite data spinout in the UK, and he is currently a NED of Cambridge Touch Technologies Ltd. His extensive global experiences include stints in Singapore, France, and the Americas, together with global partnerships, team leadership, and operational roles in the USA and in Asia. His educational background consists of an MA from Cambridge mainly in Mathematics & Physics and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
